The Eastman Selects travelled to Dauphin and Minnedosa this past weekend and extended there winning streak to 7 games! The boys started the weekend off in Dauphin with a 3-0 victory. The game started out as expected, right checking on both sides, but then the home town Rangers had a meltdown and started a parade to the penalty box, although the Selects didn't really take advantage of all the power plays going 1 for 12. All the power plays did stall the Rangers attack and allowed the Selects to control the game. Rookie goaltender Landon Poiron got his first shutout of the season, goal scorers were Devon Skoleski, Brett Davis, and Bailey Fehr.

The next day in Minnedosa the Selects weren't so lucky, dropping their first game in weeks to the Yellowhead Chiefs. In the first meeting of the season between the 2 clubs , the Selects dominated on the ice and on the shot clock (45-25) but ended up short on the score board, losing 3-2. Once again the Selects power play let them down going 1 for 5 including a 5 minute power play in the third. A couple unlucky breaks at both ends of the rink and the boys lose their first game in weeks! Goal scorers for the Selects were Brad Goethals and Vaughn Dupre.

The selects next action is at home next weekend Saturday 8:00 pm and Sunday 2:00 pm in Beausejour!
