The Season is Over for the Cougars

The Cougars finished the season on a high note winning 2 of 3 games in the final week. Yellowhead fell 5-1 in the Cougar den on Wednesday night.
Friday night in Dauphin, the Cougars came out on the short end of a 5-4 score and loosing Brian Harris and Braden Billaney with suspensions for the final league game of the year.
Sunday afternoon the Central Plains Capitals made their way to Souris and the Cougars picked up there 12th win of the year with a 3-2 win.
The Cougars finished the season with a record of 12-28-4, putting them 9 wins out of the playoffs. The Cougars finished tenth in the league standings, in goals scored and goals allowed.
The Cougars said good bye to teammates Jay Pringle, Brett Opperman, Captain Morgan Magwood,  A/Captain Keaton Jameson, who finished on the sidelines after blocking a shot on the Caps first goal, Matt Millan, Montana Masson, Kyle Braybrook.
These young men all played their last game in a Southwest Cougar jersey. All the best in the future and thanks for your time with the Cougars.
The Cougars will be staying on the ice in February and into March as they look to improve for the 2015/2016 season.
