The Winnipeg Wild are pleased to announce the following players have been selected as All Stars for the Manitoba Midget League 2014 - 15.
Selected to the first team All Stars is league leading scorer Jeremey Leipsic and Defenseman and Captain Tyler Anderson.
Selected to the second team is league leading goaltender in goals against, save percentage and shutouts Mitchel Adamyk and rookie defenseman Max Martin.
These players were selected by the coaches from all the teams in our league and to be considered the top 12 players in the league is truly an honor.
Mitchel Adamyk is a sixteen year old first year goaltender with the Winnipeg Wild. In the month of November he posted a record of 5 wins and 1 loss and currently leads the league with a goals against average of 1.51. He has a regular season record of 9 wins and 1 loss, a save percentage of .921 and has posted two shutouts so far this season. He also stopped 18 of 18 shots in the Wild’s exhibition games against the U18 team from Mannheim Germany on November 22, 2014 in Crookston, Minnesota and was named the Wild’s top performer in the game. Mitchel is a list player of the Neepawa Natives of the MJHL.
Winnipeg Wild Kevin Jakisch, a 16-year-old first-year forward with the Winnipeg Wild, scored three goals and added a pair of assists in the Wild’s three games this past week. The six-foot power forward, who plays in all situations and has been a big contributor to the Wild’s overall success this season, currently has a total of 13 goals and eight assists in 19 games and has a plus/minus rating of +21. The Chicken Chef Player of the Week is a list player with Winnipeg Blues of the MJHL. .
